A decade of the industry's gathering

The iGaming Super Show began in the years when online gambling was consolidating into a recognisable industry, and it grew alongside it. Its early Dublin editions gathered operators, affiliates and suppliers at a moment when the affiliate channel was becoming central to how online gambling was marketed, and the co-located Amsterdam Affiliate Conference reflected that focus once the event moved to the Netherlands. Over four days at the Amsterdam RAI, the show combined an exhibition floor with a dense conference programme spanning affiliation, payments, regulation, and the emerging questions of compliance and responsible gambling that would come to define the industry's next decade.

What set the programme apart was the breadth of its speakers. Regulators and gambling lawyers shared the agenda with marketing directors, payments executives and operator founders, and the conference tracks — from executive summits to compliance conferences and the IMGL masterclass — treated the business, legal and technical sides of the industry as parts of a single conversation. Many of the themes debated on those stages, such as customer acquisition versus retention, the arrival of financial-markets thinking in gaming, and the tightening of regulation across Europe, remain the industry's central questions today.

By 2018 the event had merged into the industry's next generation of shows, and the gathering in its original form came to an end.
