Global Gaming Expo — G2E — is North America’s flagship gaming trade show, and its 2026 edition runs at The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas. Education sessions begin 28 September 2026 and the exhibition floor is open 29 September to 1 October 2026. Produced by the American Gaming Association and RX, G2E is the anchor event for the US land-based and digital gaming industry.

This preview covers what G2E is, who attends, and how it fits an autumn week it now shares with SBC Summit in Europe.

What G2E is

G2E blends two worlds better than almost any other show: the traditional casino floor and the digital gaming stack. The exhibition spans slot machines, table games, casino management systems and physical casino product on one side, and online betting, iGaming platforms, payments and compliance technology on the other. Around the floor sits a large education programme covering operations, marketing, regulation, sports betting and technology.

Its centre of gravity is the North American land-based industry — commercial and tribal casino operators, suppliers of gaming machines and systems, and the vendors that serve physical properties. But as US sports betting and iGaming have expanded state by state, the digital share of the floor and the agenda has grown steadily, making G2E a genuine crossover event.

Who it is for

G2E draws casino operators and their procurement teams, gaming-machine and systems manufacturers, sportsbook and iGaming suppliers, payments providers, and the regulatory and tribal-gaming communities that shape the US market. For any supplier selling into North American casinos — physical or digital — it is the single most important show of the year.

International businesses attend both to sell into the US and to read the US market, which increasingly sets the pace for global sports betting and iGaming product.

Key themes for 2026

The organiser finalises the education agenda closer to the date, but the sector’s live questions point to what will dominate:

  • US iGaming expansion, and whether more states move to legalise online casino.
  • Sports betting maturity, as the post-legalisation land grab gives way to a focus on margin, retention and responsible-gambling obligations.
  • AI and floor technology, from cashless payments and player tracking to automated operations.
  • Regulation and taxation, an ever-larger part of the agenda as states adjust rates and rules.

Where it fits in the season

G2E’s late-September to early-October slot puts it head-to-head with SBC Summit Lisbon, which runs the same week in Europe. Global suppliers routinely split teams across the Atlantic or choose one; anyone with commitments on both sides should plan travel and staffing early. For 2027, G2E moves to 27–30 September, with the exhibition floor open 28–30 September, again at The Venetian Expo.

To see G2E against every other show in the window, use the iGaming SuperShow event calendar, and read the guide to working a B2B iGaming conference before a floor this size.
