Robin Le Prevost is a proven Business Development Manager. Born and bred in Guernsey one of the British Channel Islands but having spent a significant part of his early working life living and working in both the UK and France, Robin returned to the Channel Islands to work in the booming finance industry. Feeling the need to stretch himself in the wider world of commerce Robin spent several years working with two new and highly successful business start-ups. Robin subsequently joined the local government owned Guernsey Telecoms in 2000, a company, bought by the global giant Cable and Wireless in 2002.

During Robin’s time with Cable and Wireless, his primary responsibilities included an emphasis on attracting new business and industries to the offshore environment in the Channel Islands, of which Guernsey and Alderney are a part.

The establishment of Alderney as a well-respected offshore jurisdiction for eGambling was a particular interest for Robin and his detailed understanding of that commercial world allied with his commercial skills helps him to add value to Alderney’s proposition

Robin left Cable and Wireless in 2005 and now represents the interests of the Government of Alderney in promoting that Island as the leading Jurisdiction in the eGambling sector and to provide advice and assistance to operators wishing to establish their businesses in Alderney. Since 2005 Alderney, through a combination of highly regarded and innovative regulation, outstanding technical infrastructure and an unbeatable commercial environment has established itself as the world’s largest centre for eGambling.

Married with two children Robin enjoys competitive yacht racing and has enjoyed success locally, nationally and at a European level.
